New Partnership Connects the Brontë Story from Thornton to Haworth

Visitors can now enjoy a discounted visit to both the Brontë Birthplace and the Brontë Parsonage Museum thanks to a new partnership celebrating the shared heritage of the world’s most famous literary family.

The Brontë Birthplace in Thornton and the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth have launched a reciprocal ticket offer designed to encourage visitors to explore both locations and discover the full story of the Brontë family.

The Brontë story began in Thornton, where Charlotte, Branwell, Emily and Anne Brontë were born between 1816 and 1820. The family later moved to Haworth, where the sisters would write the novels that made them famous around the world.

Under the new arrangement, visitors presenting a valid Brontë Birthplace ticket at the Brontë Parsonage Museum will receive 20% off standard admission. Likewise, visitors to the Parsonage can benefit from a discounted visit to the Brontë Birthplace.

The partnership reflects the growing collaboration between the two organisations and their shared commitment to preserving and promoting the Brontë family’s remarkable legacy.

Nigel West, Head of Fundraising said:

“We’re delighted to be working alongside the Brontë Parsonage Museum to encourage visitors to explore both Thornton and Haworth. Together, these places tell the complete story of the Brontë family, from their earliest years in Thornton through to the literary achievements that changed English literature forever.”

The reciprocal offer is valid for three months from the date of ticket purchase and aims to make it easier than ever for visitors to experience both destinations as part of a single Brontë-inspired journey.

Whether you’re discovering the Brontës for the first time or revisiting their story, there has never been a better time to explore the places that shaped one of Britain’s most extraordinary literary families.
