As we edge closer to opening the doors of the Brontë Birthplace, the transformation is almost complete! This month, our volunteer photographer, Matt Gibbons, stepped inside to capture the incredible progress of the renovation works—showcasing the dedication, passion, and effort that has gone into bringing the house back to life.
Walking through the freshly restored rooms, you can feel the history whispering through the walls. From the parlour where the Brontë sisters were born to the carefully curated details in each space, the house is starting to look and feel like the inspirational hub we always dreamed of.
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, specialists, and supporters, every corner of the house is being carefully restored to honour its historical roots while creating a welcoming space for visitors. The latest photos reveal beautiful period features, delicate finishing touches, and a true sense of character returning to the birthplace.
This incredible restoration has been achieved through the dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and the generous funding from our grant providers. Their contributions have been instrumental in bringing this historic home back to life.
As we prepare to open in March/April 2025, we can’t wait to welcome you all inside to experience the birthplace of the world’s most beloved literary sisters.
Stay tuned for more updates and sneak peeks—this is just the beginning!
