This exclusive Mother’s Day event in West Yorkshire includes:
• A one-hour fully guided tour of the Brontë Birthplace
• A 90-minute traditional Afternoon Tea in our atmospheric Tea Room
• A relaxed and intimate heritage setting in Thornton, near Bradford
During the guided tour, you’ll explore the rooms where the Brontë children spent their earliest years and uncover the remarkable history behind one of Yorkshire’s most famous literary families.
This Mother’s Day, we will also reflect on Maria Brontë, the mother of the Brontë children, whose time in this house marked the beginning of a literary legacy that would change English literature forever. Though her life was tragically short, Maria’s influence shaped the early childhood of her children, Charlotte, Branwell, Emily and Anne, and her presence remains an important part of the story we share today.
Following the tour, enjoy a beautifully presented Afternoon Tea featuring savoury selections, freshly baked scones with jam and cream, sweet treats, and your choice of tea or coffee, the perfect way to honour mothers, grandmothers and mother figures while spending meaningful time together.
