Education Programme

Home Educators

We warmly welcome home educator families to our educational offering with hands-on interactive workshops and a unique opportunity for children to explore history in an engaging and supportive environment, alongside other home-educated learners.

Led by experienced educators, our sessions encourage curiosity, discussion and creativity through storytelling, artefacts and practical activities. With flexible booking options and a wide range of historical themes, our workshops support learning at different ages and stages, making them ideal for home education.

Workshops

We run regular, interactive workshops at the Brontë Birthplace and online, covering a wide range of history topics. These sessions are designed to support learning through hands-on activities, discussion and storytelling, and are suitable for home-educated children of different ages.

One to One Sessions

If a group workshop isn’t quite right for you, or you’re looking to explore a specific topic or time period in more depth, we also offer one-to-one sessions. These hour-long sessions are fully tailored to your interests and learning needs, allowing time for focused discussion and personalised activities.

Resources

We’re currently developing a dedicated bank of resources to support home educators, including worksheets, activities, videos and presentations linked to our history topics.

We’d love your input. If there are particular resources that would support your learning, please email your suggestions to charlotte.jones@brontebirthplace.com
