Fuel Storage Solutions was the first business patron to support Brontë Birthplace Limited and we were honoured to be invited to their official ceremony for the King’s Award for Enterprise.
The company was recognised for inventing, designing, patenting and bringing to market APIApipe™, a unique ‘pipe in a pipe’, fully bunded pipework system. This system ensures 100% uptime and is typically only 40% of the cost of traditional welded pipework due to the simple assembly system.
There are no hot works involved thereby avoiding special measures during installation. Corrosion-proof stainless-steel pipework requires no additional surface protection which reduces costs further. The company, which has operated since 2002 and employs 40 people, is one of 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with this highly prestigious accolade.
Katharine Barnett, FSS Finance Director, receiving the Award from Ed Anderson, CBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, the representative of His Majesty the King. Katharine looks very happy as we all are. Congratulations to all at FSS. We are so proud to have such an amazing company in Thornton and to have their generous support for the Brontë Birthplace.
