Discover how the Industrial Revolution reshaped everyday life in towns and villages through this hands‑on workshop for young history detectives. Thornton offers a vivid example of how a small village was transformed during this period, with clues still visible in its streets and buildings today.

Children will explore the village on a guided walk, using an activity booklet to uncover evidence of how Thornton changed and what those changes meant for the people who lived here. The session also includes learning time at the Brontë Birthplace.

Please note: this workshop touches on themes such as poverty, hardship, and death. These topics are introduced sensitively and in an age‑appropriate way.
