Now showing in the Parlour at the Brontë Birthplace
Step into the birthplace of the Brontë siblings and experience the quiet beauty of Yorkshire through the eyes of Samuel Sharp, our Artist in Residence. A Bradford-born digital painter and NHS pharmacist, Sam’s work captures the emotional depth of everyday landscapes — hedgerows, pavements, roadside trees, and sweeping skies — all created on his iPad.
His exhibition, The Long Look, invites visitors to slow down and see the ordinary with fresh attention. Rooted in a practice of care and observation, Sam’s paintings echo the Brontës’ own deep connection to place and season.
Come and explore how contemporary art and literary heritage meet in this intimate, historic space.
