The Bronte Birthplace committee have been overwhelmed by support from the residents of Thornton to their ambitious plans but none was more important than the agreement of Haworth Parsonage curator and keeper of the Bronte Society legacy Ann Dinsdale to join our group. Far from being in competition Ann recognised what she described as a possible ‘ tragedy ‘ if the birthplace was lost forever.
