DESCRIPTION:\nThornton Art Trail at the Brontë Birthplace\n6th &amp\; 7th 
 June 2026 • 11am – 4pm\n\nThornton Art Trail returns for a vibrant wee
 kend celebrating creativity\, community and the rich artistic spirit of ou
 r village. Homes\, studios and businesses across Thornton will open their 
 doors\, inviting visitors to wander\, explore and enjoy an inspiring walk 
 through our historic streets.\n\nAt the heart of the trail\, the Brontë B
 irthplace will be welcoming visitors free of charge to enjoy the work of f
 our exceptional local artists. Although house tours will pause for the wee
 kend\, the rooms themselves will become intimate gallery spaces filled wit
 h colour\, imagination and Brontë‑country creativity.\n\nIn the Posh Pa
 rlour\, artist Teresa Flavin will showcase her beautiful mixed‑media pai
 ntings—rich\, atmospheric works that echo the textures and stories of th
 e landscape.\n\nIn the Scullery\, Matt Gibbons Photography will exhibit hi
 s striking wildlife and architectural pieces\, capturing the character of 
 Yorkshire’s creatures\, buildings and hidden corners with warmth and pre
 cision\, including his award winning photographs of the Birthplace rennova
 tion.\n\nSATURDAY 6th - 11am &amp\; 1:30pm\n\nCharlotte Brontë – Sensel
 ess Trash tour\n\nJoin Charlotte Brontë on a phonic field trip over the Y
 orkshire Moors and listen in to the sounds that shaped the Brontë sisters
 ’ lives. The howling winds at Top Withens\, tranquil trickling of nearby
  waterfalls and the angelic tones of…Beyoncé will accompany you on your
  journey. Senseless Trash from beginning to end – don’t say I didn’t
  warn you.\n\nTimes: 11am (Book for 11am) and 1:30pm (Book for 1:30pm)\n\n
 SUNDAY 7th - 11am &amp\; 1pm\n\nUpstairs in Charlotte’s Room\, award‑w
 inning poet Emma Conally‑Barklem will give readings of her Brontë‑ins
 pired poetry\, bringing voice\, rhythm and emotion into the very space whe
 re Charlotte herself once lived. Booking not required.\n\n________________

 fé and gift shop will be open\, offering a cosy place to pause\, chat and
  soak up the atmosphere.\n\nThornton Art Trail is a joyful moment for the
